Manord J. Powell

Manord J. Powell Saginaw, Michigan Passed away on Thursday, September 14, 2017, age 92 years. He was born on October 22, 1924, son of the late Manord and Lela (Moore) Powell, in Flint. Manord served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. He married Joyce A. Gulliver on May 25, 1949. She predeceased him on October 11, 1981. He retired from Atkins Hardware in Vassar after many years of service. He enjoyed listening to Bluegrass music, playing many instruments and showcased his talent on WKNX AM radio. Manord enjoyed stamp collecting and was very crafty with his hands. He will be missed by his sons, Gregory Powell and Jeffrey Powell; grandchildren, Chadd (Tabby) Powell, Justin Clark, Shaun Kleiber and Jamie (Beth) Powell; great grandchildren, Mackenzie and Lucas Powell; his brother, Gerald Powell. He was predeceased by his daughter, Jillian Powell, grandson, Jeremy Fuller, sister, Janet McDonald and his brother, Kenneth Powell. Honoring Manords wishes cremation has taken place. Entombment and military honors will take place at 11:30 a.m. Friday, September 22, 2017 at the Great Lakes National Cemetery in Holly, MI.
