Marceil Doris (Beyer) Bock

Bock, Marceil Doris (Beyer) Saginaw, Michigan Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother passed away early Friday, December 07, 2012, at Luther Manor. Age 85 years. Marceil Doris Beyer was born January 20, 1927, in Saginaw, the daughter of the late George and Florence (Rogner) Beyer. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School with the class of 1945. She married W. Herbert Bock on September 11, 1948. Together, they opened Bock Pharmacy on the corner of State and Center Roads in Saginaw Township on October 20, 1948. They operated the pharmacy for 25 years until selling it and retiring in 1973. They enjoyed spending winters in Florida. Marceil was a member of Zion Lutheran Church. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and making afghans. She also enjoyed collecting and selling antiques. Surviving are her husband, W. Herbert Bock; two sons, W. Herbert Bock Jr., Hemlock, MI; Robert and wife Diane Bock, Saginaw; two grandsons, William Bock, Indiana; Brian and wife Dawn Bock, Saginaw; three great-grandchildren, Jamie, Ron and Ceciel Bock; two step-great-granddaughters, Stephanie and Taylor. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by an infant grandson, Anthony James Bock, and by one brother, Donald G. Beyer. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at Zion Lutheran Church, 1209 Hancock Street. Rev. Susan Hand will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Her family will receive friends at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, from 2:00 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 8:00 p.m. on Monday, and then at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
