Marcus Anthony Mansfield

Marcus Anthony Mansfield Saginaw, Michigan Went to be home with the Lord on Tuesday, July 10, 2018, with his family by his side, after a two year battle with brain cancer. He was 24 years old. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. 2 Corinthians 5:8 Marcus was born March 2, 1994, in Saginaw, Michigan. He was the life of the family and always made everyone laugh. Marcus loved God and made sure to tell those he encountered. He loved music and his favorite song was Gods not Dead by the News Boys. He was very excited to see them perform at Rock the Island. He volunteered with his church King of King Church of God where he was a faithful member. Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Eva Mansfield and Tony (Vickie) Mansfield; brother, Jonathon (Alexandra) Mansfield; step-siblings, Jaime Parker and Adam Ragon; niece and nephew, Edmund and Eva; grandmother, Sheila Mansfield; aunts and uncles, Elizabeth Zechmeister, Esther (Jim) Sadenwater, Mary Samaniego, Melissa (George) Bond, Jesse Samaniego, Fernando Samaniego, and Joshua Mansfield; and cousins, extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his grandparents, Terry Mansfield and Eva and Jesse Samaniego. Funeral services will take place at 1:00 p.m. Friday, July 13, 2018, at W.L. Case & Company 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Pastor Maria Garcia will officiate with burial in Oakwood Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Thursday from 3:00 to 9:00 p.m. and again on Friday from 12:00 noon until the service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family.
