Margaret Alice Richnak

Richnak, Margaret Alice Merrill, Michigan Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend passed away on Thursday, October 1, 2015 at the age of 90 years. The daughter of the late Ray and Clara (Badour) Dougherty was born on October 3, 1924 in Mt. Haley Twp. Margaret graduated from Merrill Sacred Heart High School as Valedictorian in 1942. She married John F. Richnak on October 2, 1948; he survives her. Margaret was a member of St. John XXIII Parish, St. Patrick Catholic Church in Ryan. She enjoyed quilting, gardening, crocheting, crossword puzzles, playing cards and spending time with her family. Surviving besides her husband, John, are their children: Dennis (Connie) Richnak, Al (Mary) Richnak, Tim (Debbie) Richnak, Kathleen Sue (Robert) Cox, Colleen (Dave) McCluskey, Maureen Richnak (Larry Singer), Patty (Stan) Snyder, 16 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and her siblings: Lucille Dougherty, Joyce Myers, and Dick (Suzanne) Dougherty. She was predeceased by her sisters Janet and Ruth and grandson Jared. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 5, 2015 at St. John XXIII Parish, St. Patrick Catholic Church, 4708 Meridian Rd, Ryan. Fr. Joseph Schabel will officiate with burial in St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel in Merrill from 2:00-8:00 p.m. where a vigil will take place at 7:00 p.m. Friends may also call at the church on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
