Margaret S. Novak Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved mother, grandmother, and friend passed away peacefully on December 15, 2019 at the age of 86 years. The daughter of the late Arthur and Beatrice (Gagnon) Fuger was born on June 13, 1933 in Bay City, Michigan. Margaret was a graduate of St. Josephs High School, class of 1952. She married her late husband John Novak on Februrary 11, 1956 in Bay City. He preceded her in death on Februrary 4, 2015. The couple shared 59 years together. Margaret was employed as a secretary for Bay City Milling. She was a longtime member of St. Andrews Church and a current member of Christ the Good Shepard. Margaret was also a member of the SPRED Group who worked with developmentally disabled people doing activities and camps. She enjoyed Tai- Chi and was a member of the local group for over 20 years. Margaret also enjoyed sewing, quilting, word puzzles, anagrams, making homemade cards and walking her dog Gizzy.
Surviving are her five children; Diane Novak, Patricia (Jon Quisler) Novak, John (Chondra) Novak, Carol (John) Cuellar and Paul (Jennifer) Novak. Also surviving are her grandchildren John Barton, Diana Galindo, Sarah Cuellar, Daniel Quisler, Benjamin Quisler and her great grandchildren William Barton, Evan Barton, Ellie Galindo and many nieces and nephews.
Margaret was preceded in death by her granddaughter Carolena Novak and her two sisters Joyce Gunther and Joanne Fuger.
A funeral service will take place at 11:00 am on Saturday December 21, 2019 at Christ the Good Shepherd Parish (St. Helen), 2445 N. Charles St., Saginaw. Father Matthew Federico will officiate. Friends may visit with the family at W.L. Case and Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road, Saginaw on Friday December 20, 2019 from 2:00 pm until 8:00 pm and from 10:00 am until the time of the service on Saturday at church.
