Smith, Margaret Penman "Peggy" Saginaw, Michigan Passed away in the early morning hours of July 27, 2017 after a brave, two year battle with Small Cell Lung Cancer. She was born in Wishaw, Lanarkshire, Scotland. Her Parents were George Clarkson Gold and Ann Mc Laughanlan Gold. The Family later moved to Corby, Northampton shire, England where she attended School and Graduated by the age of 15. She began working in the Office of Stewards & Lloyds, a Steel Mill, as a Key Punch Operator, which was required in the earlier versions of Computers in Businesses. She studied Dance and later becoming a Certified, Licensed Tap and Modern Dance instructor. After coming to the United States, she studied and obtained her United States Citizenship, to which she was extremely proud of. She worked for Her Uncle in St Petersburg, Florida doing accounting work. She married her husband, Michael R. Smith in Tampa, FL. They returned to Saginaw a few years later. They had five children, John, Phillip, Michael, Margaret, and Joseph. The Oldest Child John predeceased them May 20th, 1971. Peggy was an outstanding cook, homemaker, Mother, Wife, and best Friend. She enjoyed holidays with friends and Family. She enjoyed playing Bingo. She will be extremely missed by all the Family and Friends that knew her and loved her.
