Margaret Rathbun (Meisel)

Rathbun (Meisel), Margaret L. Saginaw, MI Passed away late Thursday, July 4, 2013, at Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Centre, Saginaw. Age 88 years. Margaret Sprague was born November 6, 1924, in Hemlock, Michigan, the only daughter of the late Jesse K. and Nellie (Sharrow) Sprague. She had five brothers, Ray, Floyd, Bernard "Don", George and Julius. She married Alfred A. Meisel on May 18, 1946. They engaged in farming together for many years, and enjoyed 31 years of marriage before his passing on July 19, 1977. She later married Walter L. Rathbun Sr. on April 27, 1990; he passed away just hours before Margaret, on July 4, 2013. Surviving are two sons, one daughter, and their spouses, Gregory R. and Marilyn Meisel, Kochville, Robert A. Meisel and his fiance Lydia, Bay City, and Debra D. and Michael Stajdl, Saginaw; five grandchildren, Alan Meisel, Anthony George, Brandon Meisel, Whitney Meisel, and Crystal George; also her husband Walter's children, Walter and Debra Rathbun, Jacquelyn and Gordon Berg, Thomas and Linda Rathbun, Pastor James and Karen Rathbun, Dean and Mary Rathbun, and their families. Funeral service will take place 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, July 10, 2013, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road, where her family will receive friends from 2:00 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, and then on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Pastor James Rathbun will officiate with burial in the Kochville Cemetery.
