Margie D. Pruitt Hemlock, Michigan Passed away Thursday, January 15, 2015, at Schnepp's Senior Care and Rehab Center, St. Louis, MI. Age 95 years. The daughter of the late Bertie and Gladys (Brule) Swarm was born July 17, 1919, in Fayette County, Illinois. She married Alvin W. Pruitt, August 31, 1940, in Illinois. Alvin passed away September 1, 1982. Margie worked at the duck farm in Hemlock for a time. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Hemlock. She enjoyed summer trips to Illinois to visit family and being out in her swing all day. Surviving are her children, Myrna Pruitt, Hemlock, MI; John (Janet) Pruitt, Midland, MI; her grandchildren, Annette (Chris) Good, Ortonville, MI; Tracey (Michael) Kushion, Hemlock, MI; Heather (Andrew) Appold, Hemlock, MI; her great grandchildren, Jonathan Kushion, Brandon Kushion, Sarah Good, Joe Good, Tyler Appold; her sisters-in-law, Donna (Richard) Gofton; Pat Beck all of Hemlock MI; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, parents are a daughter-in-law, Karen Pruitt, a great granddaughter, Kristin Good, a sister, Wonda Hecht; a brother Archie Swarm both of Gibson City, Ill; her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Rhoda and George Beck; sisters-in-law, Frances Michael, Mildred Blumke, Phyllis Weber, Anna Stenzel and a brother-in-law, Richard Beck. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 19, 2015 at Zion Lutheran Church, 17927 Dice Rd. Hemlock MI. Rev. Paul A. Hauser will officiate. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel in Merrill from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday and then at the Church on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
