Maria G. Becerra-Vogler

Maria G. Becerra-Vogler passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024. Maria was born in Brownsville, Texas on October 22, 1947, the daughter of the late Andrea Becerra-Garcia. She lived a life filled with love and care for her family, leaving behind a legacy that will be cherished by all who knew her.

Known for her compassionate and caring personality, Maria touched the lives of many through her work in nursing as a Certified Nursing Assistant for St. Francis Home. She worked at St. Francis Home for 30 years before retiring in 2011. Beyond her profession, she found solace and joy in crocheting and gardening, hobbies that brought her peace and creativity. Maria enjoyed teaching catechism at Holy Spirit Catholic Church for many years and gardening at St. John XXIII Parish in Hemlock.

Maria is survived by her son Ramiro Richard Guerra, stepdaughter Jenny (Jeff) Frederick, her girl Shannon, grandchildren Mechelle Adams, Courtney Romero, Blaine Morales, Peyton Rundell, Georgianna (Chad) Gary, Mason Allingston, Zaccarri Guerra, Carter Frederick, Leigha Frederick, Lauren Frederick, as well as great-grandchildren Milania, Giddeon, Carter, Liam, and Elliott, brothers Jesse Becerra and Joseph (Jay) Gracia; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Maria was preceded in death by her step-father Cristobal Garcia; mother Andrea Becerra-Garcia; her husband David Floyd Vogler; daughters Yvonne Rundell and Andrea Guerra; and sister Estella Becerra. 

Maria's devotion to her family and friends was unwavering. She will be remembered for her kindness and the love she shared with those around her. May she rest in peace knowing that her impact on the lives she touched will never be forgotten.

Friends may visit with the family from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 25, 2024, at W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 201 N Miller Rd, Saginaw, MI 48609. Following the visitation, a memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m., officiated by Rev. Fr. Michael F. Steltenkamp, S.J.
