Orr, Marian A. (Brandt) Saginaw, Michigan Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt, passed away Monday, February 8, 2016, at St. Francis Home, at the age of 91 years. Marian Agnes Brandt was born September 16, 1924, in Saginaw, the daughter of the late Frederick William and Clara Zuella (Dice) Brandt. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School with the Class of 1942. She married Edward Bert Orr on February 3, 1945; he predeceased her February 11, 1996. She had been a long-time member of Second Presbyterian Church, and had served as its secretary for 17 years, retiring in 1994. During the war, she had previously been employed as secretary at General Motors. She was a member of the Shields Study Club, Swan Valley Swingers Club, and was active in the PTA and 4-H. Surviving are two sons, two daughters and their spouses, Dale and Dawn Orr, Lemitar, New Mexico; Gary and Linda Orr, Hemlock, Michigan; Dorothy and Larry Schneider, Blythe, California; Marilyn and Neil Wilson, Allegan, Michigan; six grandchildren, Wendy Pace, Justin, Texas; Tom Orr, Farmington Hills, Michigan; Jim Schneider, Dallas, Texas; David (Frances) Schneider, Vacaville, California; Sarah (Michael) Bailey, Parker, Arizona; Audrey (Justin) Billman, Allegan, Michigan; six great-grandchildren, David A. Schneider, Derek Schneider, Jacob Bailey, Jordan Bailey, James Bailey and Anna Billman; several nieces, nephews and their families. She was predeceased by a sister and two brothers, Dorothy Irene Brandt, Frederick Ross Brandt and Harold Brandt. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 16, 2016, at Second Presbyterian Church, 2665 Midland Road. Rev. James Neumann will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Marian's family will receive friends at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, from 2:00 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 8:00 p.m. on Monday, and then at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
