Marie M. O'Toole

Marie M. O'Toole Merrill, Michigan Went to be with the Lord on Friday, April 8, 2016, at the age of 91 years. Marie was born October 23, 1924, in Shiawassee County to the late Anthony and Theresa (Dick) Keroson. She married Edward O'Toole on October 10, 1953; he predeceased her on March 18, 2000. She was a teacher's aide for Merrill Elementary School and a member of St. John XXIII Parish, Sacred Heart Church. She enjoyed quilting, needlework and crafts, and gardening. She is survived by her children, Marilyn (Bruce) Clark, Timothy (Xiao) O'Toole, Patrice (Terry) Wright, and David (April) O'Toole; grandchildren, Bryan, Jennifer, Bobby, Samantha, Courtney, Julia, Molly, and Erin; brother-in-law, Norbert Meyer; sister-in-law, Claire O'Toole; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family. She was predeceased by her siblings, Edward (Jean) Keroson, Adelaide Meyer, and Delores (Jennings) Gavit. The family would like to thank the staff at Hoyt Nursing Home and Rehab for the exceptional care they provided to Marie. Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2016, at St. John XXIII Parish Sacred Heart Church in Merrill. Fr. Dennis Kucharczyk and Fr. Steve Gavit will co-officiate with burial to follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at W.L. Case & Company 125 E. Saginaw St. in Merrill on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. where the family will gather at 6:30 p.m. for the rosary led by the Fr. Neuman Council #2291 and a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Friends may also visit at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
