Marie D. Warner (Zietz)

Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and sister passed away on Saturday, April 8^th, 2023, in Saginaw, Michigan, at the age of 93. Marie was born in Saginaw on January 14^th, 1930, to the late Oscar & Erma (Rupprecht) Zietz and was a 1949 graduate of Saginaw High School. She spent over 23 years working for Arrow Paper Products. Marie married Robert L. Warner on November 24^th, 1951, and the couple would spend over 71 years together. He survives her. In her free time, Marie loved to gamble at the casino and constantly kept her mind engaged with crossword and jigsaw puzzles. She was also an avid reader. She is remembered as being the quiet and reserved woman who held the family together.

Marie is survived by her husband of 71 years, Robert Warner; children Randy Warner of Daytona Beach, FL, and Gale Schrotenboer of Saginaw; granddaughters Jamie (Brandon) List, Sara (Zac) Birnbaum, Amy (Joe) Burch, and  Jenny Warner; great grandchildren Callie List, Braxton List, Jordon Burch, Justin Burch, Tyler Warner, Quay Warner, and Shaniyah Warner; sister Erna Sanders; and sisters-in-law Yvonne Zietz and Sandy Warner; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, other family members, and friends.

Marie was preceded in death by son-in-law Lloyd Schrotenboer; brother Robert Zietz; brothers-in-law Jerry Sanders, Charles Warner, Jr., and Donald Warner; and sister-in-law Helen Warner.

In accordance with Marie’s wishes, cremation is to take place, with a Celebration of Life planned for a latter date.
