Marilyn Ethel Stroebel
Passed away peacefully, with her family by her side, on Friday, October 12, 2018 at Schnepp Senior Care & Rehab Center. She was 81 years old. Marilyn Ethel Roe was born on January 24, 1937 in Midland, Michigan to the late Theodore and Laura (Bourcier) Roe, Sr. She married Ronald Duane Stroebel on January 28, 1956; he preceded her in death on September 19, 2008. Marilyn enjoyed reading and loved antiquing. She lovingly cared for her husband and mother for many years. Marilyn loved and cherished her family. She will be greatly missed by all.
Surviving are four daughters, Brenda (Jeff) Fraser of GA, Lisa Stroebel (Thomas Julien) of Midland, Lynnette Stroebel and her fianc Robert Conger of Hemlock and Laura (Paul) Miller of Bay City; seven grandchildren, Jason Fraser, Jenelle Hantle, Jeff Fraser, Paul Miller, Alexandria Miller, Nicholas Jesse and Mason Jesse; three great-granddaughters, Ava, Isabella and Alexandra Fraser; two great-grandsons, Ethan and Evan Hantle; a brother-in-law, Richard Harness of Midland; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by an infant sister, Lorraine Roe; one sister, Betty Lou Harness; and a brother, Theodore Roe, Jr.
Honoring Marilyns wishes cremation has taken place. A graveside service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 19, 2018 in Richland Township Cemetery in Hemlock. Rev. Fr. Steve Gavit will officiate. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Alzheimers Association or to St. Jude Childrens Research Hospital.
