Marilyn Mae Pankey of Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully on Friday, November 20, 2020, at Saginaw Senior Care. She was 85 years old. Marilyn Mae Dinse was born on June 26, 1935, in Frankenmuth, Michigan, to the late Harold W. and Erna H. Dinse (Hildner). She was a proud graduate of Arthur Hill High School. Following graduation, she married Charles H. Pankey. Through the years they were faithful members of Matthew’s Lutheran Church in Bridgeport. Marilyn enjoyed reading, playing cards, Bingo, family diners, and spending good times with her Doberman. She enjoyed 30 years of sunshine living in Las Vegas before moving back home to Saginaw.
Surviving are a son, Dennis Pankey and his wife, Maria of Henderson NV; daughter-in-law, Carey Pankey of Saginaw; three grandchildren: Charles , Anthony and Ilene; three great-grandchildren: Crysta, Adalyn, and Alayna; two brothers, Eugene Dinse and wife, Lydia of Frankenmuth; and Ralph Dinse and wife, Sharon of Saginaw.
She was preceded in death by a son, Paul Henry Pankey, and former spouse, Charles Pankey.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at the W. L. Case & Company, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Rheanna Goodrich will officiate. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit at the funeral chapel on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services ordinance, indoor building capacity is limited to 25 persons, face coverings are required, and social distancing encouraged.
