Mario Chavez

Chavez, Mario Saginaw, Michigan Beloved son, brother, and uncle passed away on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the age of 54 years. Mario was born the first of twins to the late Pablo and Maria (Ceniceros) Chavez on December 19, 1958 in Saginaw. He graduated from Arthur Hill High School in 1977. Mario worked a few odd jobs until he began his career working for Charles Kemerer at Hamilton Home Bakery in October 1986; he retired in 2008. Mario is best known for his love of marine life, aquariums and enjoyed sports fishing and watching movies. Mario is survived by his twin brother, Marcos (Patty) Chavez, sister Juanita Chavez, and nieces Melissa and Erica. He was predeceased by a brother, Tomas Chavez, a niece, Chelsea and many aunts, uncles and cousins. The family would like to thank Valerie Woods (AFH) and the staff at St. Mary's of Michigan, Covenant Healthcare and Magnum Care for the excellent care they gave Mario. Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2013 at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd.
