Mario Lugo Rodriguez of Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved son, father, brother, uncle, and friend passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 31, 2020, at Hoyt Nursing & Rehab Centre. He was 49 years old. Mario loved spending time with his beloved daughter, family, BBQing, his dogs, fishing, and playing baseball. He was a treasurer of the 3rd and 4th degree of the Knights of Columbus.

Surviving are his mother, Maria De Socorro Rodriguez; daughter, Autumn S. Rodriguez and her mother, Tammy; siblings: Juan A. (Devonna) Rodriguez, Maria (Lionel) Rodriguez-Braddock; Carlos L. Rodriguez. Also surviving are many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Juan Ruben Rodriguez.

A funeral liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 4, 2020, at the Cathedral of Mary of the Assumption, 615 Hoyt Ave. Rev. Fr. Printice A. Tipton will officiate. Rite of Committal will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the church on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Pursuant to the current state executive order, indoor building capacity is limited, face coverings are required at all times, and social distancing will be observed. The cathedral appreciates everyone’s efforts to reduce the spread of Covid19 in our community.
