Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and longtime companion passed away on Saturday, December 11, 2021 at New Hope Valley; at the age of 79 years.

The daughter of the late Edlin and Hannah (Stormer) Weiers, Marion was born on November 25, 1942 in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. She graduated from Saginaw High School with the class of 1960. Marion married Gary Allen Nicol on July 20, 1964; he preceded her in death. She worked at United Financial Credit Union for many years of loyal and dedicated service. Marion was a member of Bridgeport Community Church, Order of the Eastern Star, she was a past Bethel Guardian of Bethel No. 80 Bridgeport I.O.J.D. She was a Sunday school teacher for many years. Marion was an avid camper, she enjoyed gardening and feeding the birds. Above all, Marion cherished the time spent with her family and loved ones.

Surviving are her son and daughter: Bob (Julie) Nicol, Gail Calkins; four grandchildren: Emily (Steven) Hahn, Jacob Nicol, TJ (Lillyann) Calkins, Gavin Calkins; five great-grandchildren: Ian Hahn, Harper Hahn, Dorothy Hahn, Ellie Calkins, Ezekiel Calkins; her longtime companion: Mel Bicknell and his family; sister-in-law: Nancy Weiers. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. Marion was preceded in death by her son: Allen Ray Nicol, and her brother: Fred Weiers.

Funeral service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at Bridgeport Community Church, 3821 State Street, Bridgeport, Michigan 48722. Rev. Ronald L. Sinclair will officiate with burial to follow at Pinegrove Cemetery. Friends may visit the family from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the church.
