Marjorie Mae “Marge” Leidlein of Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2020, at Ascension St. Mary’s Hospital. She was 99 years old. Marjorie Mae Morrison was born on June 28, 1920, in Alpena, Michigan, to the late William and Bessie (Ranger) Morrison. She was a proud high school graduate of Saginaw High School. Following school, Marge married the love of her life, Richard A. Leidlein on November 18, 1941; he preceded her in death on March 24, 1991. She was a faithful Catholic and longtime member of St. Josephat Catholic Church. Marge volunteered for many years at St. Mary’s Gift Shop and Thrift Store. She was kind, caring, and loved social gatherings and playing cards. Above all, Marge treasured and cherished the time she spent with her family.
Surviving are three sons: Richard O. (Geraldine) Leidlein of AZ; Robert A. (Margie) Leidlein of MN; Patrick J. (Kelly) Leidlein of Freeland; daughter, Pamela S. Leidlein of Macomb, Michigan; two daughters-in-law: Ann Leidlein of Saginaw; Kathleen Leidlein of Clinton Township; 10 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren.
Marge was preceded in death by two sons: James E. Leidlein and Thomas W. Leidlein; two grandchildren: Michelle Packard and Jack Leidlein; two brothers: Emery Morrison and Frank Morrison; two sisters: Inez Graves and Vanessa Rosenfield.
A private Rite of Committal will take place on Thursday at Roselawn Memorials Gardens. Rev. Fr. Matthew Federico will officiate. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to a charity of the donor’s choice.
