Schultz, Mark Alby Freeland, MI Beloved husband, father, grandfather, and brother went home to the Lord on Tuesday, October 14, 2014, at the age of 66. Mark was born August 9, 1948, in Hemlock, MI to the late Robert and Viola (Liebrock) Schultz. Mark married Marjorie Bateson on April 11, 1975; she survives him. He was the owner/operator of Mark Schultz General Contractor for 35 years. When he retired from building he created his real passion known as the Schultz Mill. The Schultz Mill became more than his hobby, it was a daily gathering place for his many friends, family, and new acquaintances. He enjoyed being outside and was an avid fisherman and hunter. He loved his dog and companion Fannie Mae. Besides his wife Marjorie he is survived by his children, Laura (Kruguer) Contreras and Lisa Schultz; grandchildren, Gabriel, Cecelia, Julian, True, and Sage; sisters, Sandra (Bill) Schnell and Deborah Lemerand; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was predeceased by a brother-in-law, Ronald Lemerand. Memorial services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 20, 2014, at St. Peter Lutheran Church 2461 N. Raucholz Road Hemlock, MI. Rev. Dr. William L. Morris will officiate. Friends may visit with the family on Sunday, October 19, 2014, at W.L. Case & Company 201 N. Miller Road from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
