Mark Steven Doyle

Mark Steven Doyle, age 70 of Saginaw, Michigan went home to be with his Lord on Friday, April 1, 2022. He passed away at home surrounded by his family. Born in Saginaw to Donald and Betty Doyle (Birdsall), Mark was a graduate of Douglas MacArthur High School. Mark began his career at Hamilton Electric Company in 1977 and became the owner in 1979. He earned the reputation in the industry of honesty, integrity and respect.

He volunteered his time in the Thomas township community as a member of the Parks Department committee and did a lot of volunteer works. Mark had a passion for football. He and a few men from other communities in the area created the Youth Football Program for the 5th through 8th grade boys, to give them some knowledge and experience of the game prior to entering high school. He was also an instrumental part in funding and building the current football press box at Swan Valley High School. He was an active sponsor of his daughter's traveling softball team and enjoyed the camaraderie with the other parents. Mark enjoyed coaching and attending his children's sports, church and school activities. He loved hunting and fishing with his life-long friend Tom Radewahn and with his boys and grandchildren. Mark and Tom took their kids and grandchildren to Canada fishing every year. Oh the memories they shared. He also enjoyed traveling with his wife and friends throughout the USA on their Harley motorcycles — He enjoyed spending time at their property/cabin (Doyle's Acorn Acres) with family and friends hunting, fishing, swimming and fellowship around the campfire. Their property was adjoined to the Radewahn property so they spent many hours together.

Mark took great joy in serving the Lord and was, for many years, a youth counselor for the 7th and 8th grade youth group at Hopevale and then later with the Senior High youth group. Mark was a great witness of his faith at his place of business with employees and customers, as well as his family and friends.

Mark desired to leave us all with his favorite Bible verse, Romans 8:28, which reads: "We know that in everything God works for good with those who love him; who are called according to his purpose."

Welcoming him in glory are: His grandparents William and Lorraine Birdsall; his parents Donald and Betty Doyle, his brother Kim Doyle and his partner in life and trouble Tom Radewahn with whom he shared mischief, adventure and laughter.

Mark leaves behind his high school sweetheart and wife, Diane (Schmidt), Children: Mathew Doyle, Benjamin (Kerry) Doyle, Candice Lagan (Erick), Grandchildren: Savannah, Eoin, Kristine, Hayley, Jack, Luke, Gracie, and Mitchell. Also his loving sister and co-partner at Hamilton Yvonne Dennison (Darrell) and his sister Shawn (Steve).

We also want to recognize the loving staff at McLaren Hospice — Amanda, Ben and Kevin for giving such exceptional care to Mark with respect and dignity.
