Beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, January 7, 2020, at Covenant HealthCare - Cooper. She was 77 years old. Marlene Kay Weirauch was born on October 28, 1942 in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Harold and Anna (Messner) Weirauch. She was a proud 1960 graduate of Saginaw High School. Marlene married the love of her life, Gary Lee Green on November 20, 1981 in Saginaw; he survives her. She was a former member of Redeemer Lutheran Church and a current member of Faith Lutheran Church. As a young lady, Marlene was involved in the powder puff derby where she participated in drag races. She was also part of a bowling league throughout the 1970s and 1980s. Marlene spent a few years working at Holy Cross Book Store where it brought her much joy. She also enjoyed spending time gardening, canning and cooking. Above all, Marlene loved and cherished her husband, daughters and family, especially spending time with her grandcats. She will forever be remembered for her soft hearted, kind and generous spirit.
Surviving are her husband of 38 years Gary Lee Green of Saginaw; two daughters: Karen Ehrhardt of Saginaw; Crystal Green of Rochester Hills; sister, Patricia Molitor; special cousin, Joan Bowerman; brother-in-law, Gary Waber of Saginaw. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Weirauch; sister-in-law, Carol Jean Waber.
A funeral service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 13, 2020, at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Rev. Timothy Behnke will officiate. Burial will follow at Holy Cross Lutheran Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral home on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 12:00 p.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Faith Lutheran Church.
