Martha Ann Kennedy

Martha Ann Kennedy Merrill, Michigan Passed away Sunday, December 13, 2015, at Shattuck Manor. Age 95 years. The daughter of Frank and Anna (Letherer) Siler was born July 21, 1920 in Merrill, Michigan. She married Thomas L. Kennedy, April 19, 1941. He passed away November 26, 1999. She was an active member of St. John XXIII- Sacred Heart and St. Patrick Parishes where she was active in the Alter Society. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting, canning, painting and cake decorating. Surviving are five sons and their wives, Terrence and Ruth Kennedy; Robert and Carol Kennedy, all of Merrill, MI; David and Ruth Kennedy, Beaverton, MI; Ronald and Penny Kennedy, Franklinton, NC; Darrell and Linda Kennedy, Elgin, IL; 12 Grandchildren, Matthew, Louann, Robert, Julie, Lori, Michelle, Cindy, Sarah, Dylan, Chas, Sasha, Tristan; her great grandchildren, Zak, Brendan, Jacob, Thomas, Isaac, Robert, Corrie, Kyleigh, Taylor, Michael, Jordyn, Bryce, Carlie, Paige, Hunter, Bowen, Sophie, Zach, Sjalynn, Brynne, Alanna, Corrine, Guy, Max, Lorna, Kendal and Lindsey; a sister-in-law, Helen Siler; several nieces and nephews. A son, Joseph Kennedy, a granddaughter, Amy-Jo, two sisters and a brother, Evelyn Naessens, Beulah Duby and Virgil Siler have predeceased her. The funeral liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 18, 2015, at St. John XXIII- Sacred Heart Parish in Merrill. Rev. Dennis Kucharczyk, Rev. Phillip Naessens and Deacon Aloysius Oliver will officiate with burial in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Merrill. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel in Merrill from 2:00-9:00 p.m. Thursday where a vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m. The Fr. Neuman Council #2291 Knights of Columbus will pray the Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Friends may also call at the Church from 10:00 a.m. Friday until the time of the funeral liturgy.
