Martha Gibbs

Gibbs, Martha Bridgeport, Michigan Passed away on Friday, December 13, 2013 at Tendercare of Frankenmuth at the age of 87 years. Martha was born on March 24, 1926 in Forester, MI, the daughter of the late Jerry and Elizabeth (Pribyl) Sak. She married Dale Gibbs in July 1954 and he predeceased her on September 6, 1987. She was a member of the V.F.W. Post #9931 in Bridgeport. Martha was an avid BINGO player, enjoyed going to the casino and bowling, most of all Martha enjoyed spending time with her family. Surviving are three daughters: Jacqueline (William) Littlejohn, Gayle (Paul) Fulcher, Tracy (Charles) Witt, grandchildren: Rocky (Michelle) Hutton, Christina (Kevin) George, Michael Witt, Elizabeth Witt, Andrew Witt, three great-grandchildren: Jacob Hutton, Joshua Hutton, Michayla Hutton, four sisters and one brother: Lillian Nagel, Bessie Wegner, Irene (Gene) Schroeder, Lorraine (John) Arlt, Jerry (Patsy) Sak and many nieces and nephews, and two granddogs: Pookie Fulcher, and Abby Littlejohn. She was predeceased by a brother and a sister: Charles Sak, Ester Ambrose, and a special foster son Bob Klaczkiewicz. Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 19, 2013 at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Highway. Rev. Rob Richards will officiate with entombment at Oakwood Mausoleum. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral chapel on Wednesday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 6:00-8:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
