Martin Clyde Hodges (Buzz) St. Charles, Michigan
Went home to be with the Lord on Friday, March 24, 2017, age 69 years. He was born on April 8, 1947, son of the late Clyde and Martha (Goschka) Hodges, in St. Charles where he resided most of his life. He was a graduate of Merrill High School, Class of 1965 and Delta College having earned an Associate of Science Degree. He served in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of the 36th Avionic and Maintenance Squad. He was discharged as a 5S Sergeant. Buzz worked for Boat Works in St. Charles for a short time and worked at several area farms. He loved working on computers and kept up the maintenance on all of the family's and neighbors computers. He was not much for crowds, but loved when people stopped over to visit him. Buzz will be remembered for having a great sense of humor and believed Jesus to be his Savior. We are sure he is rejoicing!
He is survived by his daughter, Michelle Denning; granddaughters, Brandi Humphrey-Albring and Destiny Denning and his great grandson, Zayden Humphrey-Albring. He was born to a family of eight children, who also survive him, Robert (Marge) Hodges, Phillip (Joyce) Hodges, Nancy Alexander, Sharon (Terry) Klick, Peggy (James) Green, Chester (Cindy) Hodges and Janice (Dennis) Kristin; also many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his nephews, Gary and Roger Alexander, great nephews, Coty and Garrett Hodges, niece, Annette Watson and his brother-in-law, Floyd Alexander. Martin was dearly loved by his family and well-liked by anyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.
Military burial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on April 8, 2017, at Marion Township Cemetery.
