Stark, Martin H. Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Friday, November 7, 2014 at the age of 90 years. Marty was born in Saginaw, December 26, 1923 and, save for his two year service in the Army following WWII, lived his entire life in Saginaw. As a young man, during the depression, he worked at his parents, company, American Paper Box, which he managed for them during the war. Following his return from service, with a $2000 loan from Dr. McKinnon, he founded Arrow Paper Products Co., which he eventually grew into a thriving business, providing paper tubes and cores to Dow, GM, Ford and many other customers. The company was a great success and employed many people over the years. About 15 years ago Marty sold Arrow, and the company still exists (under a different name) in Saginaw County. Marty's passion was golf. With the help of his dear friend and coach Al Watrous and because of his own athletic ability, he became an excellent golfer. Many of his fondest memories were of his times at his home course, The Saginaw Country Club. He was a dear uncle of seven nieces and nephews, many grand nieces and nephews and one great grand nephew. He was the dear friend of countless Saginawians and a generous benefactor to numerous institutions in the community. He was a man whose hallmark was attention to every detail, and above all a person of great character, impeccable honesty, and great generosity.
