Beloved father and grandfather passed away peacefully in his sleep on Monday, March 1, 2021, at his home, with his family at his side; at the age of 81 years.
Marty was born on April 5, 1939, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Edward and Margaret (Holevar) Pokojski; he was one of five children. He graduated from St. Cyril High School with the class of 1957. Marty was an avid outdoorsman. He was happiest in a deer blind or on a boat fishing for Walleye. Marty also enjoyed a good game of Pinochle or Euchre, and enjoyed times where he could get together with family and play cards.
Surviving are two sons and one daughter: Anne (Mike) Clancy of Franklin, TN; Martin (Renee) Pokojski II of Saginaw, MI; William Pokojski of Holt, MI; six grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; two sisters: Carol (Len) Burdek of Tawas City, MI; Marge Henry of Lake Orion, MI. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Besides his parents; Marty was preceded in death by two brothers: Ed Pokojski and Len Parker.
Honoring Martin's wishes, cremation has taken place. Due to Covid, a Celebration of Marty's Life will be held at a later date.
