Mary Ann Potts

Our loving grandmother went home to be with the Lord on Monday, October 31, 2022. Age 101 years.

Mary was born on April 10, 1921, daughter of the late Victor and Delphine (Elesandro) Teran, in Saginaw. She married Donald C. Potts, he predeceased her on December 31, 1988. Mary retired from Saginaw Public School District after many years of dedicated service. She often spoke of her many years growing up at the St. Vincent’s Home in Saginaw. Mary loved children and could bake the most fabulous cookies. Her big heart and beautiful spirit could brighten anyone’s day that she encountered.

Mary will be missed by her special cousins, Alice, Gloria, Rose and Carmen; her grandchildren, Dennis (Susan) Potts, Jr., Jeanette (Rick) Talik, Barbara Potts, Jeremy Potts, Michael Potts and Amanda Valliere; many great and great-great grandchildren; many special nieces and nephews; and her special friend, Chris Doherty. She was predeceased by her son, Dennis Potts, Sr. and an infant sister, Josephine Teran.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Valley Hospice for their love and care for Mary.

Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m., on Friday, November 4, 2022, at SS. Peter and Paul Church, St. Dominic Parish, 4735 W. Michigan Avenue. Fr. Steven Gavit will officiate with burial in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
