Mary C. Grames

Passed away at HealthSource, Saginaw, on Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at the age of 84 years. Mary Clara Walker was born August 13, 1928, in Bay City to the late George and Mary (Christie) Walker. She graduated from St. Mary's High School and later worked as a secretary. She married Walter E. Thomas and they were blessed with four children. She married Allen Grames on January 26, 1968, and he survives her. Mary enjoyed training dogs and working outdoors, especially mowing her lawn or shoveling snow. She loved people and presiding over family outings. Mary was always there for her family and was the most compassionate mother anyone could ask for. In addition to her spouse, Mary is survived by: four children, Carol (Ted) Mikula, George (Lori) Thomas, Don (Geri) Thomas, and Hal (Nancy) Thomas; two step-children, Edward Grames and Sharon (George) Watt; 11 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a stepdaughter, Lorraine (Bruce) Kepzel, and a daughter-in-law, Margie Thomas. In accordance with her wishes, cremation has taken place. A celebration of Mary's life will be held by the family at noon on July 31, 2013, at the Moose Club, 2218 Midland Rd., Saginaw, MI 48603.
