Mary Christine Clark of Hemlock, Michigan
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister passed away unexpectedly surrounded by her family on Friday, December 18, 2020, at Covenant HealthCare – Cooper.
Mary Christine Thomas was born on December 23, 1969, in Saginaw, Michigan to the late James Dale and Marlene Ann (Claus) Thomas. She was a proud 1989 graduate of Heritage High School. Mary married the love of her life, Leonard Ray Clark on June 1, 1990, in Saginaw; he survives her. She volunteered at the Seventh Day Adventist Care Center in St. Charles for many years. Mary also cleaned houses for her longtime dear friends. She enjoyed bonfires, family gatherings, but above all she loved and cherished her children and grandchildren. Mary will be remembered for her selflessness to anyone in need, caring for her niece Pacie, and for her innate ability to connect with all people.
Surviving are her husband of 30 years, Leonard R. Clark of Hemlock; two children: Shannon Clark and her boyfriend, James Gossage of Hemlock; Leonard F. Clark and his girlfriend, Jayann Schimmoller of Saginaw; two granddaughters: Taylor Rae Clark and Annabelle Jean Schultz; three sisters: Peggy (Russ) Beckman of Saginaw; Vickie (Gerald) Ginderske of St. Charles; Robin (Jim) Sherman of Saginaw. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers- and sister-in-law, and friends.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Penny Ann Griffor.
A private funeral service will take place at 12:00 p.m. (Noon) on Monday, December 28, 2020, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Road. Honoring Mary’s wishes cremation will follow the service. Family and Friends are welcome to visit at the funeral chapel on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of the service. In accordance with the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services ordinance, indoor capacity is limited to 25 people, face coverings are required, and social distancing encouraged. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Clark family c/o Leonard Clark.
