Mary Denise Wilson
Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved mother and grandmother passed away after a lengthy battle with dementia on Sunday, May 8, 2022 at New Hope Valley, with her family at her side; at the age of 70 years.
The daughter of the late James and Helen (Markle) Honey, Denise was born on June 8, 1951 in Saginaw, Michigan. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School with the class of 1969. Denise married Charles “Charlie” A. Wilson on March 17, 1978; he preceded her in death on November 2, 2006. She worked at General Motors for 30 years of loyal and dedicated service. Denise was a member of American Legion Post 22 for many years, where she served as the President of the Women’s Auxiliary. She oversaw many of the fish fries and fundraisers at the post. Denise loved to be around people, laugh, have a good time, and share a beer or two. Many lifelong friends will cherish the wonderful memories and great adventures.
Surviving Denise are her son and his spouse: David and Lori Wilson; her daughter: Betsy Rezler; her son and his spouse: Scott and Brenda Wilson; grandchildren: Cade Wilson, Dale Lijewski II, Jeff Rezler, Evan Rezler, Sarah (Joe) Shattuck, Jacob Wilson, Katie Wilson; great-grandchildren: Browen Rezler, Alaya Rezler. Also surviving are her aunt: Phyllis Markle and many cousins.
The family would like to thank her Goddaughter, Patti Little for the deep friendship and kind and loving care given to Denise throughout the years.
Funeral Service will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, May 13, 2022 at W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, Saginaw, Michigan 48609. Rev. Fr. Steve Gavit will officiate with burial to follow at St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may visit the family from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral chapel on Friday.
