Mary Margaret Duby

Mary Margaret Timm Duby was lifted from the fog of Dementia and into the loving arms of our Lord on August 26, 2024. Waiting to welcome her home was her granddaughter Sara Mix, her husband of 27 years David H. Duby, son-in-law Timmy Strobel, many sisters and one brother, and parents Mildred Duquette Timm and Fred Timm.

Mary was born on December 22, 1937. Mary was a devoted Catholic, attending Holy Family High School and later Holy Spirit Catholic Church. On April 26, 1956, she married David H. Duby, which blessed them with five children Sharon Strobel, Kathleen Wellman, David, Fred, and James Duby. They made their home in Spaulding Township. Mary took a job at Saginaw General in 1968 to help support her five children and disabled husband. She retired in December of 1999. 

Surviving are her five children Sharon Stroebel, Kathy and Dennis Wellman, David, Fred, and James Duby; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; three sisters Ruthie (Terry) Kennedy, Janet Hunt, and Joanie Babier.

Our family would like to thank Avista Nursing Staff for all the great care they gave Mom. 

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 4, 2024, at W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 201 N. Miller Rd, Saginaw, MI 48609. Fr. Peter J. Gaspeny will officiate the service with interment to follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to Dementia and Alzheimer’s Association or Holy Spirit Catholic Church.
