Tanner, Mary E.
January 5, 1936 – March 25, 2020
Mary passed away at Chesaning Union Court peacefully at 84 years old. Born January 5, 1936 in Saginaw, MI to Frank J. and Mary (Bulga) Seamon. She graduated from Saginaw High School in 1953 and attended church at St. Peter in Chesaning. She married Gerald Edwin Tanner Sr. on June 26, 1953. They were married for 64 years. She was active in Red Hats, children’s activities when they were growing up, and the Saginaw Fair in the flower building. She worked at S&H Supply for 3 years and retired from Second National Bank where she was known for spotting counterfeit money. She enjoyed her retirement for over 30 years by going to Florida every winter.
She is survived by children Randall (Joy), Gary (Deb), Pam (Bob) Rowland, Robert, Gerald II (Barb), Mark, Chris, 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, brother Robert (Mary Jo) Seamon, serval nieces and nephews, and brother in-laws and sister in-laws. She is preceded in death by her Mother, Father, husband, daughter in-law, and grandson.
Memorial funeral liturgy will take place at 1:00 p.m. Friday, August 7, 2020 at St. Francis of Assisi, St. Anthony of Padua 3680 S. Washington Rd. Saginaw, MI. Rev. Fr. Binoy Nedumparampil OFM Cap. will officiate. Friends may visit with relative from Noon to 2:30 p.m. Friday.
