Mary Elizabeth Leach

Mary Elizabeth Leach Bridgeport, Michigan Passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013, at Covenant-Cooper. Age 94 years. The daughter of the late Christian and Leonora (Kull) Seiferlein was born October 25, 1919 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Arthur H. Leach, September 13, 1941. He passed away June 30, 1994. Mary graduated from Michigan State University with a Bachelor's degree in Psychology. She as a very active member of Bridgeport Community Church and had served on the International Council of Community Churches and was a member of the Church Women United. She was an artist, enjoyed gardening, playing golf and bridge, reading , Ballroom and Square dancing. She was active in the area Campfire Girls organization. Mr. and Mrs. Leach had spent winters in Winterhaven, Florida. Surviving are four children and their spouses, Tom and Ruth Leach; Joe and Kathy Leach; Jill and Frank Kelly; Mark Leach; four grandchildren and their spouses, Chris and Chrissy Leach; Matt Leach; Alison and Dan Hamlin; Brian Kelly; five great grandchildren, Corey and Amos Leach; Nick, Grace and Andrew Hamlin. A sister, Clara Ball, has predeceased her. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 3, 2014, at Bridgeport Community Church, 3821 State St, Bridgeport. Rev. Ronald L. Sinclair will officiate with burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 5700 Dixie Hwy. from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday and then on Friday at the Church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
