Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Vukovich

Vukovich, Mary Elizabeth "Betty" Hemlock, Michigan Passed away peacefully in her sleep on Wednesday, April 19, 2017, at the age 90 years. The daughter of the late Henry and Helia (Suo) Stevens was born March 19, 1927 in Trimountain, Michigan. She married Thomas John Vukovich on July 10, 1954. Mary was a graduate of Hurley School of Nursing in Flint, Michigan as a Registered Nurse. She was last employed at Saint Mary's Hospital in Saginaw, Michigan. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church, Hemlock, was an avid reader, and enjoyed sewing and knitting. Surviving Betty are three sons and their wives, Thomas John and Ann Vukovich, Green Bay, Wisconsin; Robert James and Rouema Vukovich, Indianapolis, Indiana; William Paul and Connie Vukovich, Grand Rapids, Michigan; nine grandchildren, Ryan, Nicholas; Robert, Anthony, Joseph, and Mary; Teran, Christy, and Michael; four great-grandchildren, Kierstyn, Braelyn, Lucianne, and Luca; two brothers-in-law, Roger Norden and Joseph Roth; and several nieces and nephews. A son, Joseph Michael, a brother, Henry (Chicky) Stevens, and two sisters, Margaret Hayrynen and Blanche Roth, have predeceased her. The family would like to extend a special thank you to Jenn Willette from Home Instead and the caring staff at both Heartland Hospice and Tender Hearts Assisted Living. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 26, 2017, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Fr. Dennis Kucharczyk will officiate with burial in St. Andrews Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
