Mary Elizabeth Wahl

Mary E. Wahl Saginaw, MI After living 98 happy and loving years on this earth, passed away on July 16, 2018, at Great Lakes Rehab Center after a short illness. Mary was born in Saginaw on March 19, 1920. She married Delbert Conrad Wahl on April 26, 1941 in Saginaw. Mary was a member of Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Saginaw, and for many years taught Sunday school there. She was a member of the church quilting club, loved crafting and needlework, and contributed immensely to the yearly church bazaar. Born with a green thumb, Mary was an avid flower and vegetable gardener right up until age 98, loved baking, and fed her family for decades with her fantastic canned and baked goods. Surviving to cherish and honor her memory are one daughter and spouse, Sharon (Sam) Roberts, and three sons and spouses, Richard (Joyce) Wahl, Larry (Patricia) Wahl, and Steven (Carole) Wahl; fourteen grandchildren, thirty-six great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Delbert, and many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law. A memorial celebration of Mary's wonderful life will be held at a later date. www.casefuneralhome.com
