Mary J. Crowell

Crowell, Mary J. Hemlock, MI Passed away on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at the Aleda E. Lutz VA Medical Center at the age of 91 years. The daughter of the late Elizabeth (Baker) and Raymond Thomas Bell was born on May 4, 1923 in Saginaw. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School, the class of 1941. Mary then served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. She married Guy H. Crowell, Jr. on January 11, 1947; he predeceased her in 1984. Mary retired from Brisbois and Sturtz Attorneys in 1988. She enjoyed shopping, helping the elderly in need and most especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are her children: Jan (Richard) Londry, Kelly Crowell, grandchildren: Threasa (Douglas) Walser, Ryan Londry, Kari Jamison, great-grandchildren: Tyler Lane, Jordan and Julia Walser, her aunt Marge Wolgast and many nieces and nephews and dear friends. Mary was predeceased by two brothers: Norman and Robert Bell. Memorial Services will take place at 2:00 p.m. Friday, July 18, 2014 at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. Deacon Dale Emeott will officiate with military honors by V.F.W. Post #1859. Friends may visit with the family on Friday at the funeral chapel from 12:00 noon until the time of the service.
