Mary Jo Finazzi Hemlock, Michigan Passed away Wednesday, October 14, 2015, at St. Francis Home. Age 72 years. The daughter of the late Harry and Noreen (Brandimore) Kwater was born February 7, 1943 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married John Joseph Finazzi, on the day President John F. Kennedy was assassinated, November 22, 1963. He survives her. Mary Jo was employed by Sunshine Biscuit Company and by Saginaw General Hospital in the physical therapy department, retiring with 22 years of service. She was a member of St. John XXIII, St. Mary of Hemlock Church. She was an active, social person, enjoying everything out-of-doors, going to bingo and the casino, and spending time at their cabin up north. Surviving are her husband, John; a sister and brother-in-law, Kathleen and John Kolhagen; several nieces and nephews. Two brothers and one sister, Michael and Harry Ray Kwater and Denise Lutz, have predeceased her. The funeral liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2015, at St. John XXII, St. Mary Church, 151 St. Mary Drive, Hemlock, MI. Rev. Dennis Kucharczyk will officiate with burial in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Monday and then at the church from 10:00 a.m. Tuesday until the time of the funeral liturgy.
