Mary Laura Blohm

Mary Laura Blohm Saginaw, Michigan Passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2017, at Hoyt Nursing and Rehab Centre. Age 86 years. The daughter of the late Helen (Stauffer) and Norman Augustus Ellis was born June 2, 1930 in Saginaw, Michigan. She married Robert Duane Blohm, October 20, 1951. He passed away February 22, 1996. Mary was a graduate of the Saginaw General Hospital School of Nursing, Class of 1951. She spent her entire career at Saginaw General Hospital retiring in 1995. She enjoyed sewing, reading and watching television. She particularly enjoyed going to her cottage near Harrison, Michigan. She loved her dogs, Belle and Molly. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Lori and Dan Fein; her grandchildren and their spouses, Eric and Melissa Fein; Sarah and Pastor John Bortulin; her great grandchildren, Caleb, Jonas and Josie Fein; Andrea, Emma, Naomi, Claire and Maria Bortulin. Her son, Ronald Blohm, died April 5, 2017, her daughter-in-law, Eleanor Blohm and her granddaughter, Melissa Blohm, died April 11, 2001. Mary's brother, Howard Ellis has also predeceased her. The funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 7, 2017, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Carl Otto will officiate with burial in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Chapel from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday.
