MaryAnn Parker, age 81, of Saginaw Michigan, beloved wife, mother, and nana, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on Saturday, February 3, 2024. She resided at Union Court Assisted Living in St. Charles, Michigan after a quick onset and decline of ALS.
MaryAnn was born on January 22, 1943 in Saginaw, MI to George and Marion (Lincoln) Roenicke. She graduated from Arthur Hill High School. Her Aunt Myrtle Lincoln-Dill was instrumental in her decision to continue her education through Saginaw General Hospital School of Nursing where she received her Certification as a Registered Nurse which she maintained to this day. MaryAnn worked a career at Saginaw General Hospital/Covenant and held several active roles with the SGH School of Nursing Alumni Association. She also held many roles within the Presbyterian Churches of Saginaw throughout her life as her faith was very important to her and those around her. She was an avid golfer on many leagues and loved to spend time with her friends. However, her favorite role in life was to be a mom and nana. Her children and grandchildren were the light of her life and she was proud of each one of them.
MaryAnn was preceded in death by her husband, Grant Parker, after a lifetime of love. She is survived by her two sons and daughters-in-law, Chad and Karla Parker and Brent and Beth Parker; her four grandchildren, Danielle, Victoria, Clayton, and Ethan. She also leaves behind many friends and family that looked to her as a pillar of kindness.
