Mary "Tina" Reyes Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went home to be with the Lord peacefully on Sunday, December 8, 2019 at Henry Ford Hospital, with her family at her side; at the age of 69 years. The daughter of the late Socorro and Guadalupe (Perez) Hernandez, was born on April 19, 1950 in Saginaw, Michigan. She attended St. Marys School of Nursing to achieve a degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Tina married the love of her life, Richard Reyes, on November 13, 1966 by the Justice of the Peace in Saginaw, Michigan; he survives her. She served for 25 years at St. Lukes Hospital; then served at Private Duty Nursing in Hemlock, where she took compassionate care of a special patient for over 22 years. Tina praised and danced before the Lord as a member of Living Faith Family Ministries, she was also a Sunday School Teacher for many years. She enjoyed reading and being a caretaker. Above all, Tina loved the time spent with her family.
Surviving besides her husband of 53 years, Richard; are one daughter and two sons, Adell (Lupe) Reyes-Sanchez, Richard Reyes Jr., Santino Reyes; five grandchildren, David A. (Marena) Reyes, Erica D. (Max) DeLaRosa, Raymond (Cindy) DeLaRosa, Alejandro Reyes, Christian Reyes; 12 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Noel P. Hernandez, Gino Hernandez, Jerry Hernandez; three brothers-in-law, Henry (Janie) Reyes, David (Deborah) Reyes, Robert (Inez) Reyes; and one special niece, Cyndi Mosqueda. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews and extended family. Tina is preceded in death by one granddaughter, Alyssa A. Reyes; two sisters, Theodora Osuna and Angie Cruz.
Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 13, 2019 at Living Faith Family Ministries, 1902 Stone Street. Rev. Frank Gallardo will officiate with burial to follow in Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Friends may visit the family from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at W. L. Case and Company, 201 N. Miller Road, and at 10:00 a.m. until the time of services on Friday at the church. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider Living Faith Family Ministries.
