Mary Ruth Hill of Saginaw, Michigan
Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 10, 2020, at HealthSource of Saginaw. She was 86 years old. Mary Ruth Hill was born on December 13, 1933, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Robert C. Yarger and Wanda McRae. She was a proud graduate of Arthur Hill High School. Following graduation, in October of 1955, Mary Ruth married her childhood friend and sweetheart, Raymond F. Hill; he preceded her in death on July 10, 2013. She worked for Romanow Building Services as a Janitorial Supervisor, retiring after 25 years of service. Mary Ruth was raise in the Baptist Faith. She enjoyed crafting, especially decorating candles and sconces. Any family or friend moving into a new home would receive one of these heartfelt gifts from Mary Ruth. She was also a gifted seamstress and enjoyed altering and hanging new curtains. Mary Ruth also enjoyed going to garage sales throughout the summer. She was kind, selfless and generous, always welcoming family, friends, and visitors with food and good company. Above all, she loved and cherished her family, especially spending time with her with her grandchildren. She will forever be remembered for her family gatherings and her lively spirit.
Surviving are three sons: Raymond F. (Karen) Hill, Jr. of Summerville, SC; Martin J. Hill of Saginaw; Robert C. Hill of Saginaw; nine grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; two brothers: Bob Yarger of Owosso; Art Yarger of Charlotte; two sisters: Thelma Varney of Coleman; Donna Marks of Florida. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by a daughter, Diana Lynn Feldotte; two sisters-in-law: Irene Yarger and Sue Yarger.
A Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 16, 2020, at the W. L. Case and Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road. Pastor Tom Coe will officiate. Burial will follow in Owen Cemetery. Friends are welcome to visit with the family at the funeral chapel on Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the family.
