Mary Kay Siler passed away at home surrounded by her family on March 3, 2024. She was born June 19, 1943, in Midland, MI to the late Thomas and Mary Engle. On June 12, 1965, she married the love of her life, Frederick Siler.
Mary Kay was very involved in raising her family and was a faithful servant and member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church for many years. Mary Kay loved life, being around her many friends, having new experiences, and traveling to the many events of her children and grandchildren.
Mary Kay was a loving wife of 59 years to Fred, who survives her. She was a wonderful mother to her children, Lauri (Mike) Mastic; Lee (Rochelle) Siler; Carmen (Tim) DeLisle; Jeff (Christy) Siler, and Julie (Tom) Vos. Her pride and joy were her 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. She also enjoyed spending time with her many nieces and nephews. Surviving her are her sisters, Sue (Ray) Bush and Carol (Tom) Austin; sisters-in-law Mary Pat Siler and Kathleen Jacobs. Mary Kay is preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Thomas, James and Joseph, her sister Margaret McLeod, sister-in-law Doreen Engle and brothers-in-law, Don Jacobs and George Siler.
A funeral liturgy for Mary Kay will be held at 11:00am on Friday, March 8, 2024, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church, 1035 N River Rd, Saginaw, MI 48609, with Rev. Fr. Peter J. Gaspeny presiding. Visitation will take place from 3:00pm to 7:00pm on Thursday, March 7, 2024, at W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 201 N Miller Rd, Saginaw, MI 48609, and at the church from 10:00am until the time of service on Friday. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a donation to Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Saginaw; St. Patrick’s Cemetery Ryan or Covenant VNA.
We want to thank all the nurses in the ICU at Covenant Hospital, Mary Free Bed and Covenant VNA.
