Mary E. Trombley, age 78, of Saginaw, Michigan, passed away on Wednesday, January 22, 2025, at Henry Ford Medical Center in Warren.
Mary was born in Saginaw, Michigan, on January 6, 1947, the daughter of the late William and Phyllis (Brownell) Armstrong. She graduated from Bridgeport High School, class of 1965. At the age of 19 she began working for Blue Cross and Blue Shield. She enjoyed a lengthy career as an agent coordinator and retired as a supervisor after 41 years of service. She was united in marriage with Lowell Trombley on February 19, 1966. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She was a member of the Tri-County Snowmobile Club for 25 years. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends and was an avid movie fan. Mary also enjoyed spending time over the years with family and friends at the cottage on Big Bear Lake.
Mary is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, Lowell Trombley; children, Kim (Jeff) Demand and Scott (Lisa) Trombley; four grandchildren, Nicole (Ryan Hammis) Demand, Josh (Jurnie Havens) Demand, Blake (Brooklene Palmer) Trombley, and Tyler (Aubrie Leach) Trombley; one great-grandchild, Kylie Wood; one brother, William (Mary Lou) Armstrong; and many nieces and nephews.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, William and Phyllis Armstrong; and her brother Kevin Armstrong.
Friends may visit with the family from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 26, 2025, at W.L. Case and Company Funeral Directors, 201 N Miller Rd, Saginaw, MI 48609. A funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 12:00 p.m. on Monday, January 27, 2025, with Rev. Fr. Peter Gaspeny officiating the service.
