Maureen (McGuire) Bosley of Saginaw, Michigan

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully with her family by her side on Saturday, October 3, 2020, at Covenant HealthCare – Harrison. She was 81 years old. Maureen McGuire was born on July 17, 1939, in Saginaw, Michigan, to the late Bernard George and Dorothy Grace (Marz) McGuire. She was a proud 1957 graduate of Ss. Peter & Paul High School. As a teenager, Maureen worked at Adam’s Drug Store. Following graduation, she attended beauty school and worked as a cosmetologist for Marge’s Beauty Shop. Maureen married the love of her life, Richard Edward Bosley on January 24, 1959; he preceded her in death on February 5, 2002. As a young woman, she worked as a desk clerk with the YMCA and later for Dot Caring Center. Maureen was a faithful member of St. Dominic Parish – Ss. Peter & Paul Catholic Church where she volunteered in the choir, as a scripture reader, and was on the pastoral council. She was artistic and enjoyed crafts; especially, stained glass, knitting, sewing, embroidering, and crocheting. Maureen also loved playing both the piano and organ. Above all, she treasured and cherished her family, especially her grandchildren. She will forever be remembered for her strong faith, her excellent sense of humor, and for always giving straightforward but loving advice.

Surviving are five children and their spouses: Thomas (Laura) Bosley of Freeland; Kevin (Lorna) Bosley of Clio; Karen Ackerman of Saginaw; Kathryn Webber of Saginaw; Robert (Dawn) Bosley of St. Charles; eight grandchildren: Keith (Heidi) Bosley, Lisa (Zac) Coin, Brian Bosley, Samantha Bosley, Tyler Bosley, Nathan Bosley, Jessica Webber, and Aaron Webber; several step-grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; six siblings: Carol (Don) Gaertner, MaryJo (Frank) Baukus, Kathy (Tim) Cherry, Dan (Laurie) McGuire, Kevin McGuire and his girlfriend, Elaine Meyer, and Dodie (Jay) Raycraft. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard E. Bosley; parents, Bernard and Dorothy McGuire; and a sister, Patricia (Fred) Purman.

A private funeral for immediate family, brothers and sisters, and close friends will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 8, 2020, at W. L. Case & Company, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Rev. Ted McCulloch will officiate. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Family and friends are welcome to visit with the family on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Due to the world wide health pandemic, indoor building capacity is limited, face coverings are required, and social distancing encouraged. In lieu of flowers, those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the Mid-Michigan Autism Association.
