Maxey Spicer Saginaw, Michigan Loving wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully into the presence of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Friday March 9, 2018. Age 87 years. She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Russell H. Spicer. She will be dearly missed, as they were inseparable and lovingly devoted to "taking care of each other." Maxey was born in the hills of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky, to Raymond and Nettie Case and was one of eleven children. She was quick witted, loved life exuberantly, and spending time with her grandchildren. The Washington Society and Moose Lodge were favorite places to socialize. She retired after many years from the former St. Lukes Hospital, and later did in-store demos, because she loved being with people. A special thank you to a lifelong friend, Kay Moeller. Besides her husband, Russell, she leaves behind two children and their families: Daughter, Jan and Ken LeCureux; grandson Jonathan and Heather LeCureux; great grandchildren, Eli Kenneth and Abby Mae. Her son, Ken and Mary Spicer, granddaughter, Sara Spicer and (Kurt Stemple) and great grandchildren, Dustin and Darren Stemple. The funeral service will take place at noon Friday, March 16, 2018, at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 4480 Mackinaw Rd. Chaplain Kelly Iseman will officiate with private entombment in Oakwood Mausoleum. Friends may call at the Chapel from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the funeral service.
