Melissa Anne Pratt

Our loving Mother, Nana, Sister and Aunt, passed away on Sunday, January 1, 2023. Age 46 years.

Melissa was born on January 18, 1976, daughter of the late Robert and Bonnie Host, in National City, Michigan. She married Lloyd Pratt, Sr. on July 31, 2010. He predeceased her on May 31, 2011. She enjoyed the outdoors, camping, fishing and flower gardening. Melissa was a loving, nurturing Mother and Nana. She loved spending time with her family, her dogs and cat and cooking. Melissa will be remembered for being a mother who loved unconditionally, her infectious laugh and big generous heart.

Surviving are her children, Lloyd (Sara) Pratt, Lisa (Garrett) Pratt, Cameron (Kaitlyn) Mader and Steven (Angel) Pratt; grandchildren, Adoline Rose Pratt and Zoey Marie Brady; sister, Michelle Host; brother, Mike (Judy) Host; many nieces and nephews; and Linda Hayes, who was like a mother to her. She was predeceased by her daughter, LouAnne Marie Pratt.

Funeral service will take place at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 6, 2023, at Sheridan Road Baptist Church, 6911 Sheridan Road, Saginaw. Pastor Keith Williams will officiate. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, January 6, 2023, at the church, from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service.  Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider the wishes of the family, in care of Cameron Mader.
