Melissa Jane Hodgins-Parker

Melissa Jane Hodgins-Parker Midland, MI formerly of Bay City Loving and beautiful mother, daughter, sister, niece, and aunt went home to the Lord Friday, January 3, 2014, at the age of 31. Melissa was born April 14, 1982, in West Branch to Michael and Betty (Partlow) Hodgins. She was hardworking, compassionate, kind, giving, and a talented artist. She had a glowing smile that made people smile in return. She enjoyed playing BINGO, bowling, and going to the casino. She is survived by her children, John Parker III, Myah Parker, and Shyanne Parker; sibling, Michelle (Bradley) Haskin, Monica (Joshua) Gildner, Catherine Hodgins, Chelsea Hermann, Joshua Hermann, Charlene Hermann, Bobby Hodgins, Mark Hodgins, and Nathan Hodgins; grandmother, Catherine Wright; and many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She was predeceased by her grandparents, Gary Partlo, Harold Hodgins, and Mary Ann Bishop. Funeral services will take place at 1:00 p.m. Friday, January 10, 2014, at W.L. Case & Company 5700 Dixie Hwy. Rev. Phil Ortega will officiate with burial to follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.
