Melvin Albert Reikowski

Reikowski, Melvin Montrose, MI Passed away peacefully November 5th, 2015 at home with his daughters by his side after a short illness. Mel was born in 1931 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Albert and Alma (Beyer) Reikowsky. He married Helen Wood in 1952 and they had 50 wonderful years together until she passed away in 2002. He retired from Baker Perkins after 35 years of service. In his younger years he farmed, bartended and sold cars. He enjoyed his family and taking his lady friend to the Casino and out to dinner. His favorite pastime was riding around the county looking for cars, trucks, tractors or anything he could make a deal on. Mel is survived by his daughters, Kathi (Bruce) Diffin, Mary (Dave) Dudek; grandsons, Nick and Damian Dudek and Special Lady Friend of 13 years, Charlotte Fowler The funeral service will take place 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 9, 2015 at W. L. Case & Company, 5700 Dixie Highway. Rev. Rob Richards will officiate with burial to follow in Eastlawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral chapel Monday from 10:00 a.m. until time of the service.
