Michael D. Kern

Kern, Michael D. Hemlock, Michigan Beloved husband, father, son, brother and uncle went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 2, 2013. He passed away at Covenant Cooper after a lengthy illness. Age 49 years. He was born September 6, 1963, in Saginaw, the son of Michael and Mary (Ebenhoeh) Kern. He had been employed by US Graphite until retiring due to disability. He loved music, especially singing and playing the guitar. He was also an avid fisherman, especially perch and bass. He married Karo L. Fitting on May 6, 1995; she survives him. He also leaves his son, Ryan Michael Kern; his parents, Michael and Mary Kern; one sister, Carol Wajer and Walt Stockmeyer, Saginaw; four brothers, James M. Kern, Sault Ste. Marie, Dennis A. Kern, St. Charles; Duane A. Kern, Moreno Valley, CA, Thomas R. and Debra Kern, Saginaw; two sisters-in-law, Karon and John Hoppe, Hemlock; Kristie Coty, Ogden, UT; many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and their families. Memorial service will take place at 6:00 p.m. Monday, May 6, 2013, at the W. L. Case & Company Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Road, where his family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. Monday until the time of service. Rev. Richard Mundt will officiate.
