Michael James "Micky" Thompson Freeland, Michigan Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and son passed away Friday, November 6, 2015, at Cartwright Care Center at the age of 65 years. Micky was born June 5, 1950, in Saginaw. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He married Cheryl Stadler on May 8, 1976, she survives him. He worked as a grain inspector for 27 years in Breckenridge and Carrollton. He then worked for the Home Depot on Gratiot. He was a member of American Legion Post #439. He enjoyed attending car shows with his Synergy Green Camaro. He was an avid Detroit sports fan. He loved animals of all kinds and spending time with his family. Besides his wife Cheryl he is survived by his children, Dana (Thomas) MacDonald and Kyle (Danielle) Thompson; grandchildren, Aliceon and Victor; father, Walter Thompson; and sisters, Christine Presnikovs and Jodi Yaklin. He was predeceased by his mother Rosemarie (Minicki) Marr. Memorial services will take place at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 14, 2015, at W.L. Case & Company 201 N. Miller Road. Pastor Ed Meyer will officiate with military honors rendered by American Legion Post #439. Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Friday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and again on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
